Modern Chiropractic was founded in 1895 in Davenport, Iowa by D.D. Palmer.  It has grown into the largest health care delivery system outside of western medicine.

Chiropractic recognizes that without interference your body has the ability to maintain itself in a health state.  If an interference occurs, removing it will allow your body the chance to return to this healthy state.

About Subluxation

Chiropractors are trained to look for small misalignments in your spine that may cause an adverse effect on your nervous system.  
These misalignments are called subluxations and they interfere with your ability to live with optimum health.

Since the nervous system is the master controller of the body, controlling virtually every cell in your body, it is easy to see the
importance of keeping this system working properly.

Subluxations can go unnoticed by a person or can cause symptoms such as pain,swelling and stiffness.  Most importantly, they almost always cause dysfunction in the tissue that is being controlled by the nerve coming from the area of subluxation.
